Wake Up Call to American Zombies

Or: Another One Bites the Dust

I just read about the disgruntled unemployed software engineer who flew his plane into a Texas IRS building like a kamikaze pilot.  Before doing so, he left us with his suicide manifesto, which is a harsh (and accurate) criticism of all that is the American Nightmare.

And as a firm believer in the American Nightmare (and one of its many refugees who refused to resort to suicide to make a point), I thought I would post a link to the man's full manifesto before it is taken down by the news gatherers.  Today's news is tomorrow's fishwrap.  So soak this in.  I am sure if you are American (and not a zombie) you will see some truth in this desperate man's criticism of America.  I also have my stories.  When I think of the friends and family members who have died as literal victims of America, I find myself morbidly wishing they had left suicide notes.  Or at least manifestos.  Maybe they did.  But they didn't take out a government building when they bit the bullet, so it didn't make the news.

When the link below is taken down, I will upload the full file in order to keep the more poignant quotes from the manifesto alive in cyberspace, most notably:

"We are all taught as children that without laws there would be no society, only anarchy. Sadly, starting at early ages we in this country have been brainwashed to believe that, in return for our dedication and service, our government stands for justice for all. We are further brainwashed to believe that there is freedom in this place, and that we should be ready to lay our lives down for the noble principals represented by its founding fathers."

"...the joke we call the American medical system, including the drug and insurance companies, are murdering tens of thousands of people a year and stealing from the corpses and victims they cripple, and this country’s leaders don’t see this as important as bailing out a few of their vile, rich cronies."

"I choose to not keep looking over my shoulder at “big brother” while he strips my carcass, I choose not to ignore what is going on all around me, I choose not to pretend that business as usual won’t continue; I have just had enough. I can only hope that the numbers quickly get too big to be white washed and ignored that the American zombies wake up and revolt; it will take nothing less."

"I saw it written once that the definition of insanity is repeating the same process over and over and expecting the outcome to suddenly be different. I am finally ready to stop this insanity. Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, let’s try something different; take my pound of flesh and sleep well.

The communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.
The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed."

  1. I can certainly relate to the message...but not his method for conveying it!

    I'm a "peaceful protester" myself!

  4. Thanks for the comments. I think this blogger uses a 'followers' system. In the followers section on the right, there is a list of followers and there should be a 'follow' button if you are logged in to any Google stuff (mail, blogs). I will look around and see if I can put an RSS feed link on here somewhere. Thanks for the input.
